The 10 Best Kindle Unlimited Romance Recommendations You Need to Read in 2025

A few years ago I had a realization many bookworms face: my "to-be-read" pile had become an entire library of unread books, with little shelf space remaining. As new books kept coming out, my book buying habit was easily outpacing my reading speed. So, I decided to take the leap and buy a Kindle to not only save money, but to also reduce the amount of physical books I was buying. While I've found some great free books and monthly sales, nothing has saved me more money than my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I often see people asking if Kindle Unlimited is worth it, and my answer is always a resounding "yes."The monthly subscription costs less than a single paperback book, but also lets you borrow up to 20 books at a time. I love that I can read a book digitally at first, then if I absolutely love it, I can buy a physical copy for my shelves later. Plus, it's a fantastic way to save a significant amount of money if you tend to read a lot. And you don't eve...

Book Review: Caught Up by Navessa Allen

Hello readers, and welcome back to the blog! As someone who was obsessed with Navessa Allen's first book in the Into Darkness series, Lights ou t, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the newest installment. I'm a sucker for a good dark romance book, and am always on the lookout for a new favorite, so my hopes were pretty high for this one. With it's mix of mafia ties, a spicy second-chance romance, and an obsessed hero, this book has been on many romance readers most anticipated reads list for the summer. Here are my thoughts on Caught Up . Get the Book Here Synopsis The story follows Nico "Junior" Trocci, a member of the mafia who has a secret obsession with his old high-school flame, Lauren Marchetti. In his youth he had to push her away to protect her from the violent world he lives in, but he never really let her go. Now Lauren has reinvented herself, and is the co-owner of a club with her friends, while also being an advocate for better treatment of sex w...

So You Devoured the A Court Of Thorns and Roses Series. Here's What To Read Next

A few years ago, I devoured the A Court Of Thorns and Roses series, and I remember how hard it was to find something as addictive after I completed it. So of course I looked all over the internet for recommendations, but at the time it wasn't quite as popular as it is now, and good recommendations were hard to come by. After many years, and many re-reads I can now say with confidence that I have found the perfect books to cure that A Court Of Thorns and Roses book hangover. Here are my top recommendations for what to read next.  The Plated Prisoner Series A dark fantasy romance that re-imagines the myth of King Midas. Auren is his gilded prisoner, kept in a birdcage, and kept as a treasure. Having been with Midas for a decade, she has become completely dependent on him, and believes his manipulation is love. She accepts her gilded cage and the isolation that comes with it, convinced that Midas is protecting her from a world that would bring her harm. However, as Midas' poli...

Book Review: Problematic Summer Romance by Ali Hazelwood

With the hot days upon us, what better way to celebrate summer than with a summer romance book? This newest release by Ali Hazelwood was high up on my must-read list for the season. Even though the plot  details were a little vague, all the tropes sounded like they'd make for a great time: a wedding, a trip to Italy, and an age-gap romance with the older brother's best friend..sign me up! Here's what I thought of  Problematic Summer Romance .   Get the Book Here Synopsis When all Maya can think about is her older brother's best friend Conor, she tries to forget about him. She knows it would be totally cliche, he's much older than she is, he's a successful biotech, she's a struggling grad student. He's made it clear he doesn't want a relationship with her, but sometimes plot twists happen, like a destination wedding for Maya's brother in a beautiful Sicilian villa, where Conor will also be attending. But Conor is hiding something from her, and alt...

How to Get Out of a Reading Slump

Confession time: I've been stuck in a reading slump for the past several months. You know that dreaded period where, regardless of how exciting a book may seem at first, you quickly lose interest? A book that would normally take a day or two to devour, now drags on for weeks. If your reading habits have also gone from "page-turner" to "dust-gatherer", then pull up a comfy chair. Let's talk about how to kick that reading slump to the curb and get excited about reading again. Change it Up When I feel a reading slump creeping in, the first thing I like to do is switch genres. If I've been mostly reading romance books and they all are starting to blur together, I might then choose to switch to a fantasy romance, or even a thriller. I use this genre change as a "palette cleanser" before eventually going back to my main genre of choice. This not only allows me to change the type of story I'm consuming, but also helps to tackle those books on my p...

Book Review: Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry

Having loved most of Emily Henry's previous books, I was incredibly excited when she announced Great Big Beautiful Life . She always delivers the coziest small-town romances, and this newest release's plot sounded like it would be right up my alley. Two writers competing to get to write a sought-after biography, in a charming small-town setting, and then they fall in love? Sign me up! After about a week of carrying this book everywhere, and I mean everywhere , I finally finished it. Here are my thoughts. Get the Book Here Synopsis Alice Scott is waiting for her big writing break, and is hoping that on Little Crescent Island she finds it in writing a biography about a woman there, Margaret Ives. However, she's not the only one wanting the story of the heiress/tabloid princess, as Hayden Anderson who has won Pulitzer's for his writing is also on a mission to write her story. Margaret decides she will give them both a one month trial period, then will choose who gets to wr...

Book Review: Leave Me Behind by K.M. Moronova

Although I tend to post romance books on the fluffier and sweeter side of the genre, I also am a big fan of dark romances. Sure, rom-coms are fun, but after a while they often reach a point where they all start to blend together. So what better way to break up the monotony than with a dark romance? One of my favorite aspects about this sub-genre is its willingness to tackle difficult topics, often leading to a much more emotional read. Plus, it doesn't hurt that usually the spice level is through the roof!  Leave Me Behind is a book I probably would have never picked up on my own if it hadn't been featured in one of my book subscription boxes. I don't generally gravitate towards military romances, and at the time this had been a newer release, while also being by an author I hadn't read from before. However, this book has since gained a lot of traction, with readers everywhere sharing their thoughts. Here are my own on Leave Me Behind . Get the Book Here Synopsis Leave...
