8 Small Town Romances That Will Make You Want To Move To the Middle of Nowhere

There is nothing quite like the cozy vibes a small town romance book can bring. Almost like how you feel watching a Hallmark movie, or one of my personal favorites, Gilmore Girls. There's something about a tight knit community coming together and hosting events, town meetings, and of course meddling in blooming romances throughout the town, that tends to make for an amazing romance story. So get your hot cocoa (or coffee in an IV as our Gilmore Girls fans do), and get ready to snuggle up with a small town romance. When In Rome Sarah Adams takes us to the small town of Rome, Kentucky in this small town romance between a pop-star and a baker. When burned out popstar Amelia Rose's car breaks down in front of Noah Walkers house, he offers to let her stay in his guest room until her car is back up in running. But between running his Grandma's pie shop, keeping an eye on his siblings, and trying to not be the center of town-gossip, he's got his hands full. Despite this, he ...

Book Review: Dream Girl Drama by Tessa Bailey

Nothing screams February quite like a new Tessa Bailey release. This year we were graced with the third installment in her Big Shots series. Although this isn't my favorite series she's published, it's still one I tend to preorder months in advance, just so my doorway can be blessed on release day by the newest filthy installment. When I finished The Au Pair Affair last year, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Sig and Chloe's story. A forbidden romance between a professional hockey player and a harp prodigy, what could go wrong? Here are my thoughts. Synopsis This third installment in her Big Shots series follows Sig and Chloe. While on a trip to visit his estranged father, Sig runs into Chloe, a harpist prodigy who's yearning to gain some independence. Sparks fly, but the pair soon finds out that their parents are engaged, making them future step-siblings. Sig determined to help Chloe gain some independence, steals her away to Boston, where they try forget t...

Book Review: Hate Mail by Donna Marchetti

Let me begin by saying this book has been sitting on my kindle for the last year. Drawn in by the cutesy cover, I had snatched up Hate Mail when it went on sale without a second thought. But like most book girlies, I have a never-ending tbr pile, so this one got put on the back burner for a while. When the valentines season started approaching, I knew right away I wanted to finally read it. The cutesy Tessa Bailey-esque cover just screams valentines day. So I did what we all long to do on a snowy day, and curled up with this book, as well as a warm cup of coffee, and read the damn thing. Here are my thoughts. Synopsis An enemies-to-lovers story following two life long pen pals. Well that is, until 2 years ago when the letters suddenly stopped. But now all that is about to change when Naomi gets a spontaneous letter at her job as a news anchor from Luca. There's one little hitch though, there's no return address. Now Naomi is determined to not let him get the last hateful word...

5 Books to Cozy Up With This Valentine's Day

It's that time of year again, you know, the dreaded time where the stores are full to the brim with roses, chocolates, and last minute shoppers-galore. But whether you're in a relationship or not, we can all agree that it's the season of love. So what better way to celebrate than with a romance book! This Valentine's Day grab a book, find a cozy spot to curl up, and grab a festive snack (chocolate covered strawberries anyone?). As a year round romance reader myself, these are some of my own picks I plan on reading to get into the Valentine's spirit. Beg, Borrow, Or Steal The much anticipated final installment in the When in Rome series, following two feuding second-grade teachers, Emily and Jack. To make matters worse, Jack is back in town after calling off his engagement, and now he's going to be not only Emily's co-worker, but also her neighbor. Can you say enemies-to-lovers? When Emily sends her secret book manuscript to her boss, she enlists Jack to hel...

Welcome to Good Girls Read Smut!

( Image created through AI on Microsoft Bing, all rights of image go to them) If you've made it here to my little corner of the internet, let me just begin by saying thank you. From the title of the blog, you might have an idea about what kind of blog this is going to be, as well as what type of content to expect.  Smut. Lots of it.  You can expect posts featuring reading lists, current favorites, book recommendations, reviews, annotation guides, and how to start a book journal. Pretty much if it has to do with books (smutty ones of course) you'll find it here. But who am I to tell you what books to read, and why should you trust my recommendations? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Brittany, I'm in my late 20's, and I have read a lot (and I mean A LOT) of books over the course of my life. I might not have started my reading journey with romance books, instead having read a bit of pretty much any genre you can think of, but the last few years have fallen down ...
