8 Small Town Romances That Will Make You Want To Move To the Middle of Nowhere

There is nothing quite like the cozy vibes a small town romance book can bring. Almost like how you feel watching a Hallmark movie, or one of my personal favorites, Gilmore Girls. There's something about a tight knit community coming together and hosting events, town meetings, and of course meddling in blooming romances throughout the town, that tends to make for an amazing romance story. So get your hot cocoa (or coffee in an IV as our Gilmore Girls fans do), and get ready to snuggle up with a small town romance.

When In Rome
Sarah Adams takes us to the small town of Rome, Kentucky in this small town romance between a pop-star and a baker. When burned out popstar Amelia Rose's car breaks down in front of Noah Walkers house, he offers to let her stay in his guest room until her car is back up in running. But between running his Grandma's pie shop, keeping an eye on his siblings, and trying to not be the center of town-gossip, he's got his hands full. Despite this, he becomes Amelia's unofficial town tour guide, and love blooms between the two. This is a closed door romance, perfect for fans of Gilmore girls. If you love a slow burn romance or the grumpy-sunshine trope, this book is for you.

Tattered Stars
Sixteen years ago, Everly and Hayes both experienced a tragedy, that tore both their families apart. Now many years later, Everly is back in the small town of Wolf Gap, and Hayes wants nothing to do with her, or the reminder of the past. But can he really stay away? This book is one that will satisfy both romance lovers, as well as those who enjoy romantic suspense. Tattered stars is the first book in a five part series, with my personal favorites being the second book Falling Embers and the fifth, Fractured Sky.

All Rhodes Lead Here
When Aurora returns to her childhood hometown in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, it's a bittersweet experience. Recently broken up with her famous musician boyfriend, all she wants is to reconnect with the place that she loved exploring with her mom as a child. But when she arrives at her rental apartment, she finds that the gruff and grumpy single father, Tobias Rhodes, isn't actually who rented it to her. Instead it was his teenage son, but of course, can Tobias really send her away? Over time, Aurora breaks down Rhodes walls, while also coming to terms with the loss of her late mother. This book is one of my favorite Mariana Zapata books of all time, and I can't recommend it highly enough. If you want to be crying, laughing, and smiling like an idiot this is the book for you. Some of the tropes featured include grumpy-sunshine, single dad, and slow burn.

Archer's Voice
When Bree survives a traumatic incident, leaving her father dead, she leaves her old life behind, and moves to Pelion, Maine. In the small and quaint beach town, Bree comes across a man named Archer. He communicates with no one, yet Bree finds herself enamored with him, and wants to find out more about him and his story. But where love blooms, secrets and betrayal are sure to follow. If you haven't read any books by Mia Sheridan, this is by far the best one she's published and worth a read. It's an emotional book, which showcases the power of healing, while also bringing a bit of spice. This is a sweet, feel-good romance, with an ending that will leave readers feeling satisfied.

Drive Me Wild
Blair Beaufort is broke, left her former life as a debutante behind, and now on top of it all her car has broken down in the small town of Bellamy Creek. Lucky for her, Griffin who's a mechanic and trying to enjoy a few beers with his friends after their baseball game, witnesses the whole thing. He offers her a place to stay the night while he fixes up her car, but who knew it would be so hard to keep his hands to himself? She drives him wild, but against all his better judgment, he falls hard, even though he knows eventually he'll have to say goodbye. Drive Me Wild is a fun and cozy romance, and is the first book in a four part series where each book follows one of Griffin's friends finding their happily ever after.

Flawless
As a professional bull rider Rhett has everything going for him, that is until one little mistake ruins his image. In an attempt to clean up his act, Rhett's agent assigns Summer (the agent's daughter) to babysit him and prevent any further self-inflicted damage. But some boundaries that shouldn't be crossed get thrown to the wind when Summer is around, and although she says what's between them means nothing, Rhett can't help but want her. Some tropes featured in this book include enemies to lovers, cowboy, and of course everyone's favorite, the one bed trope.

The Suite Spot
When single mom Rachel gets fired from her job at a Miami beach hotel, she must come up with a back up plan, and quick. When she finds a brewery boutique hotel is hiring, much less that its on a tiny little island called Kelley's Island, she takes it. But upon arrival, not everything is as it seems. The man who had hired her, Mason, actually knows little about running a hotel. Plus, the hotel isn't even fully built. Can she help Mason build the hotel, while also taking a chance on a new life, and maybe even love? This book is such a underrated, yet refreshing read. If you want a sweet romance, this is the one for you.

Funny Story
When Daphne's fiance Peter dumps her for his childhood best friend Petra, it leaves her in desperate need of a roommate. Who better then Petra's ex, Miles, who also finds himself newly dumped? One night when the new roommates are drowning in the loss of their romantic partners, they come up with a plan. Together they explore their lakeside hometown and post photos of their summer adventures. But is it all for show, to make their exs jealous, or instead could it lead to love. Funny Story is a cozy opposites attract romance, with the friends to lovers trope, as well as fake dating.

Welcome to Good Girls Read Smut!

( Image created through AI on Microsoft Bing, all rights of image go to them) If you've made it here to my little corner of the internet, let me just begin by saying thank you. From the title of the blog, you might have an idea about what kind of blog this is going to be, as well as what type of content to expect.  Smut. Lots of it.  You can expect posts featuring reading lists, current favorites, book recommendations, reviews, annotation guides, and how to start a book journal. Pretty much if it has to do with books (smutty ones of course) you'll find it here. But who am I to tell you what books to read, and why should you trust my recommendations? Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Brittany, I'm in my late 20's, and I have read a lot (and I mean A LOT) of books over the course of my life. I might not have started my reading journey with romance books, instead having read a bit of pretty much any genre you can think of, but the last few years have fallen down ...

Book Review: Wild Love by Elsie Silver

It's no secret that Elsie Silver is the queen of cowboy romance books. Her Chestnut Springs series made it onto many romance readers favorites list over the last few years, so you can guess my excitement (along with everyone else's) when she announced her spin off Rose Hill series. This series not only begins with a book featuring Ford, who is Willa's brother from Chestnut Springs, but also is marketed as being a series where four single dads find love. That's right ladies. Four books all promised to be single-dad romances, taking place in a cozy little mountain side small town. Did I mention they all are on a bowling team for single dads? Here are my thoughts on the first book in her new series, Wild Love . Synopsis When Rosie Belmont finds herself suddenly back in her childhood town of Rose Hill, her brother's best friend Ford will do everything in his power from crossing a line with her. Things get more complicated when Rosie needs a job, and who better to off...
